BuzzFeed recently published an article on the gap between mobile usage and shopping cart conversions impacting many eCommerce merchants worldwide. They highlighted Mobile Optimization Initiative (MOI) as the solution to the growing problem, stating:
To verify and understand the impact of MOI on the eCommerce world, Forrester Research was commissioned to conduct a Total Economic Impact Study™.
In the study, Forrester interviewed four merchants and their system integrators to identify outcomes and measurable results. The report examines the potential ROI of strategically shifting critical eCommerce elements, including customer experience, checkout processes and more. The study found a compounding revenue lift of 9% to 15%, impacting both mobile and desktop conversions.
MOI founders, Dan Leberman (VP of Partners and Marketplaces of PayPal) and Zee Aganovic (PhD, CEO of HiConversion) sat down with BuzzFeed to answer a few questions to better understand the application of communities to mobile e-commerce.
From the interview:
“Turning shoppers into buyers is a combination of improving the checkout experience itself but also allowing the shopper to easily complete their purchase while shopping and bypass the full checkout flow altogether.”
